A couple of Comicon announcements
If you are one of the lucky ones who have a ticket, Lee will be appearing at the San Diego Comic Con On Saturday July 23rd. He will be in the Ash Vs. Evil Dead panel with Bruce Campbell,Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo. This is the oldest and biggest of the Comicons and tickets sold out on the first day.
Lee was also be attending the Austin Comic Con Sept 23rd thru 25th.

Some sad news, Charles Briles who played the youngest son Eugene Barkley in the first season of The Big Valley passed away on June 12th. There was a write up in the Hollywood Reporteron June 30th.

Tony's was in rare form on Sunday evening for the 35th annual Celebrity Serve Benefit.
Several diners - including co-chair Joan Schnitzer Levy who rocked a Canadian tuxedo – were in violation of the fine dining establishment's strict dress code. For one night only, the Italian eatery's wait staff and a host of local notables donned hard hats and heels in support of Escape Family Resource Center's child abuse prevention programs.
"I don't know if you realize that we're the only organization that does what we do. We teach the parents how to parent and the children what not to put up with," explained Levy. "Everyone else takes the children away."
Diane Lokey Farb, Ceron, and Todd Fiscus were among the convivial patrons "served" by Lara Bell, Andy Cerota, Walt Cunningham, Shara Fryer, Tom Koch, Ernie Manouse, Todd Ramos, Roseann Rogers, Bob Sakowitz, Edward Sanchez, Wade Smith, and headliner Lee Majors.
"I'm not even going to talk to that side of the room because they're being too loud," Majors quipped of the restaurant's rowdy right wing upon receiving a Baccarat Texas flag as guest of honor. "This is better than winning an Oscar."
Bottles from Becker Vineyards – or Duchman Winery for the privy few seated at the family's table – circled the dining room as playful Kobe cheeseburger sliders, French fries, and chocolate cake emerged from the kitchen. The raucous group played "heads or tails" for a years supply of wine and fresh flower delivery before auctioneer Stephen Mayers dove into the high-stakes live auction. Bidding wars ensued over a "Snow in Houston" ice party, Private Registry Collection vacation including airfare, Toyota Center suite during a Houston Rockets game, and of course, private wine library dinner at Tony's.
The debaucherous soiree capped on a sweet note with construction hat cupcakes in celebration of $300,000 raised towards Escape's first permanent home in Midtown.

Some sad news that Abe Vigoda passed away today at the age of 94. Lee and Abe worked together in Keatons Cop in 1990. Faith said they enjoyed working together and included a picture of them from October 2015. Personally I enjoyed Abe in Barney Miller as Fish and in The Godfather.

It's been a while since my last update but I hope everyones New Year has started out great!
Bionic Disco posted this video on YouTube and I couldn't resist. Howard Cosell had a Variety Show in 1975 which was called Saturday Night Live. Lee did an epiosde of Howard Cosells show in Nov 1975 and here is a promo clip A bit of trivia, when the show we now know as Saturday Night Live aired also in 1975 it was called "Saturday Night". When the Cosell show was cancelled in 1976 they added the Live to their shows title.
