  • According to Spoiler TV, the season premiere for According to Jim is going to be Tuesday Jan 1. This from Spoiler TV:

GOD VISITS JIM AND GRANTS HIM THE POWER TO MAKE WOMEN MORE LIKE MEN, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC'S "ACCORDING TO

Lee Majors ("The Six Million Dollar Man") Guest Stars

Season Premiere is Followed Immediately by Another All-New Episode

Jim Belushi returns for his seventh hilarious season in ABC's hit family comedy "According to Jim." A family man and a man's man, Jim is the all-American guy, fiercely devoted to his beautiful wife, Cheryl (Courtney Thorne- Smith), and his three kids, Ruby (Taylor Atelian), Gracie (Billi Bruno) and Kyle (Conner Rayburn). He loves his family but he continues to test his wife's patience with his stubborn antics.
Jim sometimes takes for granted his brother-in-law and best ally, Andy (Larry Joe Campbell), who doggedly covers for Jim's constant scheming. Sister-in-law Dana (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), now a new mom and happily married to a doctor, still manages to expose Jim's sneaky side at every turn.

In the season premiere episode, "Jim Almighty" -- TUESDAY, JANUARY 1 (9:00-9:30, ET) - Jim is dismayed to learn that Cheryl has joined a dinner party club. When he grumbles that he'd like to meet the moron who invented women, God (guest star: Lee Majors) suddenly appears to defend himself. If Jim thinks he can do a better job, he's welcome to try. But Jim's new-found power backfires when Cheryl and Dana become crasser versions of himself. Then, when Andy asks God to make men more like women, Jim and Andy are transformed into overly sensitive, 'girly men.'

Guest starring in "Jim Almighty" are Lee Majors as God, Maribeth Monroe as Mary Beth, and Charlie Hartsock as Charlie.

  • I found this interview with Lee regarding Ben 10 and According to Jim.

THE VIDEOLAND VIEW: Who needs bionic parts when you're The Creator? Lee Majors — the original bionic man in the hit '70s series "The Six Million Dollar Man" — pops up "as God" on the seventh-season premiere of Jim Belushi's ABC sitcom "According to Jim" next year. "I thought it was typecasting," quips Majors. "We've all seen Morgan Freeman as God in 'Evan Almighty,' and he had all white on and kind of glowed. Well, we wanted (this version) to look a little different, so we thought we'd do white but give him this beautiful suit with western piping and white shoes. Every time he walks into the room, a spotlight and music come on, and Jim is always saying, 'Oh, God.' It's a very funny show."

Speaking of "Evan Almighty" and signs of divine intervention, Majors says he watched the film about a week before he was to start shooting the Cartoon Network's live-action TV movie "Ben 10: Race Against Time" premiering tomorrow (Nov. 21) with Graham Phillips and Haley Ramm — "I said to my wife that the middle kid in that movie would be great for 'Ben 10.' It was just something that came to me, and when I got to the set, there he was."

In the telepic, based on the Cartoon Network's hit animated action-adventure series "Ben 10," Majors plays the evil-battling grandpa of Ben Tennyson (Phillips), who can change into 10 different aliens with superpowers, thanks to a powerful alien wristwatch. "I felt like I was Sean Connery to Harrison Ford in an 'Indiana Jones' movie, playing grandpa to two 12-year-olds. It was a pleasure working with those kids and playing that role. He's a little gruff — but hopefully lovable."

Insiders report that Majors has at least a three-episode arc that will start Oct. 1. His character will really shake things up for the team during a season that will see one star player turn to steroids and another get caught up in a media controversy.

In other Game news, Greek's Scott Michael Foster will pop in on Oct. 22 as Kelly's slacker little brother who comes to couch it at her place after being released from rehab. — Reporting by Rochell D. Thomas

  • I have just received the following email from Kenny Smith the promoter of Bionicon

Hi! My name is Kenny Smith, I am the promoter for Bionicon and I would like to write to reinforce what Mrs. Majors said in her email. She was absolutely correct that all celebrity convention promoters go into their conventions knowing that they are working with big name celebrities and that a great film role may call at any time or that shooting schedules may be altered.

I just want to say that Lee was very gracious during the promoting process. Of the conventions I have promoted in the past, he was definitely among the friendliest and most helpful of the celebrities I have been blessed to work with. He is very dedicated to his fan base and I know from personal experience that he appreciates his fans. Thank you to all who attended this year. Sincerely, Kenny Smith

    August 17, 2007

I received an email explaining why Lee was not able to attend Bionicon in July.

Dear Cubster- Hello my name is Faith Majors and I am Lee Majors wife. I am writing because I wanted to clarify a few things that have been written about my husband lately as well as on several blogs out there.

There are a lot of very ugly things being written about Lee not attending the Bionicon convention. My husband is a VERY good man and would NEVER intentionally let his fans down and not show up. Unfortunately when you are bound by contract for a film that is priority and that comes first (all promoters for these conventions are aware of that going in). Lee had this film Ben 10 in the works BEFORE the convention and unfortunately there was no way to get around the filming schedule, that is one of the down sides to the entertainment business but there are certain things that Lee has no control over.

Lee is very thankful to all of his fans who have supported him through the years and hopefully there will be another opportunity down the road to show his appreciation at another event.

Ben 10 the film will air on the Cartoon Network the day before Thanksgiving and this fall watch for several guest spots from Lee on "The Game" on the CW channel.

Thank you for your time in reading this.
    Sincerest Regards,
    Mrs. Faith Majors

So the reason Lee was not able to attend the convention was due to filming commitments and not other reasons that were being posted after the convention. Hopefully this will now put an end to all the speculation and misunderstanding.

  • July 1, 2007

  • Everybody who went to Bionicon 2 this weekend knows this already, but Lee did not attend. No reason was given for his absense. However I think most people who attended had a great time anyway. Richard Anderson, Jennifer Darling and Martin Brooks were all wonderful and seemed to have a great time. They were touched by the gifts that people brought them and enjoyed talking to everyone. Kenny Johnson who created the Bionic Women also told some wonderful stories of the creation of the series. The other guests Barbara Luna, Gil Gerard, Felix Silla, Erin Gray, Tim O'connor, Gary Lockwood and Malachi Throne also enjoyed themselves and signed many autographs. Its a shame that Lee could not attend.

    June 16, 2007

Bill Smitrovich will play Joel's obnoxious and opinionated father, and Jason Antoon will play the lab's technician.

Smitrovich, who most recently appeared in the two-part Super Bowl episode of "Criminal Minds" and recurs on CBS' "Without a Trace," is repped by the Kohner Agency and Lighthouse Entertainment.

  • Lee is also staring in a music video by the Grammy nominated group Bowling for Soup. From Teenmusic.com:

Jive Recording Artist Bowling For Soup continue to bring their own brand of creative expression with their new video "When We Die," as they cast Lee Majors in a leading role.

"When We Die," a the current single from their album, The Great Burrito Extortion Case is a departure from the usual happy go lucky videos that fans may have been accustomed too, but in its essence it is still a Bowling For Soup video. The video revolves around the tumultuous relationship between a father, played by Lee Majors, and son and how they overcome past differences to rejoin, make amends and hopefully start anew.

"When We Die" was directed by Max Nichols, son of the renowned director and Oscar winner Mike Nichols. Max has been at the helm of various videos and has worked a with a diverse array of artists including Kirk Franklin, Nina Sky, DHT, T-Pain, Frankie J and Raheem DeVaughn.

Later this week the Grammy nominated band will be heading to Austin, Texas to take part in SXSW Live, the first-ever 24-hour live broadcast from the celebrated South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival. SXSW Live can be seen on DIRECTV's channel 101 (The 101).

  • According to Geek Monthly Lee is filming a TV pilot entitled "Me and Lee". Here is what they have to say :

OK, well, maybe not Six Million Dollars, but Lee Majors is back in a big way — only he’s not Steve Austin, he’s playing Lee Majors in Me & Lee, a pilot from Lionsgate for Fox for the fall. Sources tell Geek that in the pilot a broke, loser dentist with severe back problem gets coerced into getting an experimental surgery by Lee Majors (playing himself). The procedure not only bionically enhanced (their term is P.R.I.C.K. — Prosthetic Replacement & Integrated Cyber-Kinetics ), but Lee can secretly monitor his life from his remote lab located in his Hollywood mansion and help him score with the ladies. It’s Cyrano de Bergerac meets The Six Million Dollar Man (and some would argue, Free Enterprise with Lee Majors instead of Shatner). We wonder what else is bionic? Now we REALLY have seen it all…

    March 7, 2007
